Gratitude and Giving Back: Reflecting on 2024

At Russ Bratcher Photography, we believe in the power of community, the joy of pets, and the importance of giving back. We were thrilled to sponsor the inaugural Pooch Playoffs, a community dog contest held in March 2024 in Jacksonville, FL. With 21 adorable contenders vying for the title, it was a week filled with wagging tails, fierce competition, and heartwarming moments.

The Pooch Playoffs weren’t just about showcasing cute pups. Thanks to the participants and sponsors for this event, we raised an impressive $1,500.00 for charity. We couldn’t think of a more deserving recipient than the V for Victory Cancer Foundation in Jacksonville, FL.

The decision to support the V for Victory Cancer Foundation was a straightforward one. As a company deeply rooted in our local community, we wanted to give back in a meaningful way. By donating to an organization dedicated to fighting cancer and supporting those affected, we knew our contribution would have a lasting impact.

Throughout the week-long contest, dog owners from all walks of life came together to celebrate their furry companions. From energetic puppies to wise seniors, each participant brought unique charm to the competition. While only one pooch could be crowned the winner, every dog left a paw print on our hearts.

We were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from our community, from those who entered their dogs in the contest to those who cast their votes in the final hour. We had voters from around the world, including France, Australia, and even Switzerland. We proved that we can accomplish incredible things when we come together for a cause we believe in.

As we reflect on the success of Pooch Playoffs, we’re filled with gratitude. Gratitude for the dogs who brought us so much joy, appreciation for the community that rallied behind us, and gratitude for the opportunity to make a difference. We may be a photography company, but we will always focus on capturing moments that matter and giving back to those in need.
